Wiring, Wire Connectors, & Lights
-Check the main wiring harness and any other additional wire harnesses for bare
spots that might “short out” against the frame or other metal parts
-It is a good idea to check each male/female bullet connectors as they can get
corroded and not provide a good electrical connection
-Check any electrical ground wires to make sure the ends are not corroded and
they are securely fastened and the wires are not frayed.
-Make sure all lights work – headlight – tail-light – turn signals –gauge
lights, if not replace bulbs as required. Sometimes it is just a rusty socket or
a poor connection/ground that makes them not work
- A good/new battery is also a good idea, as some models NEED a good battery for their ignition/electrical system in order to run properly.
